Old white van parked on the roadside, mud speckled in snow. Marble streaks and tire tracks from window frame could be a photograph.
Consider miles traveled through rain and ice, her engine puttering sparks of life as shiny sedans and semi road hogs blast their horns.
Though scraped and scuffed she rebounds back. Here she rests, waiting for her next directions. Watch out for biting dogs at wheels.
Old white van will travel on, trusting her Driver to fill her tank and stay a steady course till she completes her job and makes it safely Home.

Ahh… the theme comes through “loud and clear”…Thank you. What a beautiful, poetic metaphor. You are wonderful. Much love! <3
Deb,
So sorry to have missed this one. I love it:
the subtlety of the beautiful message,
the photograph, the tone… all coalesce into
a work of art.

.
Sarah, isn’t it interesting how images and emotions come together sometimes? My dad used to drive a white VW Van. It came to my rescue! 😉

You have given it soul with your writing, Deb.
