Almost overnight,
Trees transformed into gumdrops—
That’s what I call them.
Through the red maples,
A black squirrel caught my eye.
What a rare moment!
As if being chased,
I saw deer gallop and leap.
But they were playing!
Todd found a bookstore
In Three Lakes. I bought this book,
Then snapped this picture.
I also bought this
Book, because I had seen this
sign along the road.
Later, on the dock,
I took in all the beauty,
For our last evening.
Todd went inside when
a lawnmower started up.
“Too noisy,” He said.
I have to agree:
Last night in Eagle River
Was not too quiet.
Nice pictures and verses!

I miss being there in Eagle River with you and family. There is so much more I wanted to share.
Those colors are amazing Deb. We are at peak here as well.
