The day’s begun, I bow my head,
and whisper words beneath the sun.
Bring power and majesty to this earth
so that within all life there is rebirth.
I will not doubt Your Presence, still;
but lift my eyes up to the hill.
Send down Your grace and teach me love.
Keep my eyes focused on You above.

Beautiful words.
Thank you so much Nessa. I really appreciate you stopping by and taking time to leave a comment. Look forward to reading your work! Deb
With our faith honestly anchored in Christ, we can reflect the good in our lives, because the Lord is the source of virtue. And it is a blessing to those who believe, reach the rest and the shelter of faith.
Oh, so beautiful, Deb! I’m praying this with you! Thank you for expressing your heart’s whisper. Your words wrapped me in peace. Love you! <3
P.S. the photo is glorious as well! I’m guessing it is one of your photographs. I love it!
That’s the best response I could ever hope for. Thank you Lynn. Love you too
Yes, my photos generally inspire my writing. I’m grateful for my phone that captures the moments but I would love to have time to learn to use a real camera. Some day maybe. Thanks for asking Lynn.
Deb,
The first snowflakes are in the air here, and the tone of this poem is so perfectly aligned
with the holiness of that occasion. Beautiful!
Sarah
Thank you Sarah. We had ours yesterday. I love the first snow. It didn’t stick though 🙂
Not here either, Deb,
Still, I felt like I was 7 years old again.
When I read your poem, I felt the same
childlike wonder at how blessed we humans are. : )
May we always stay that way! ???
